Regional Forecast from H B Weather for: Thur 28th August A low is still slow-moving to the east of the N Island, while a ridge of high pressure is developing in the western Tasman. Between these systems, a disturbed S to SW flow is bringing showers to the east of the country. Our region can expect cloudy to overcast skies this morning, with some further showers, then increasing fine periods will appear this afternoon. The wind will be moderate to fresh, from the S to SSW at first, veering further to the SW later. Temps will remain mild, with today's maximum expected to reach around 14 C.
